Sierra Leone News: 26-year- old Man Jailed for Carrying Pistol

A 26-year- old Abdul Bangura was on Monday September 2, 2019, arraigned before Magistrate Hannah Bonnie for carrying an unlicensed pistol..

The accused was arrested on Wednesday August 28, 2019, by Detective Sergeant 10476 Bindi E.T.M and Detective Police Constable 9268 Collins J.J.

The accused was brought to court on two-count charges — possession of small arms without licenses and loitering with intent.

Particulars of offence state that, the accused on Thursday August 15,2019, at Cline Town roundabout was found in possession of one Chinese TT3 type 54 pistol with serial number 38913 without license or lawful authority.

It was also stated that the accused was found loitering with intent to commit a felony. After the charges were read, no plea was taken and the accused was not legally represented.

The accused was not admitted to bail, while the matter was adjourned to Tuesday September 10, 2019, for further hearing.
