Sierra Leone News: NPSL Unveils New Fuel Station

One of the most successful companies in the country, the National Petroleum Sierra Leone (NPSL) Limited has on Wednesday September 25, 2019, commissioned a new fuel station at Blackhall Road in the east end of Freetown. The company is 100 percent owned and run by Sierra Leoneans.

The Sales Manager of NP SL, Vandy Bockarie said that the project for the rehabilitation of the fuel station started nine months ago. He said that NPSL believes in rebranding. He said that with the opening of the fuel station, customers will be able to access tother NP products like Diesel, Petrol, Cooking Gas, Lubricants/Oil, among others. He added that the station is a benefit to the community and the nation as a whole.

The General Manager of NPSL, Mr Kobi Walker recognized the dealer Mr Hassan Shaw for being loyal to NPSL. He said that Mr Shaw has been doing business with NP for the past 30 years.

The General Manager said that NPSL has 40 fuel stations across the country. He disclosed that NPSL has opened its branch in The Gambia on Tuesday, adding that NPSL has expanded to the Republic de Guinea, Ivory Coast, and Liberia.

He said the company is owned by 35 Sierra Leoneans who sacrificed their end of service benefits to the buy the company. He said that if it would have not been for those Sierra Leoneans, they would not have been gainfully employed. He commended them for their sacrifice in building a reputable company like NPSL.

The Member of Parliament for Constituency 121, Hon. Muniru Lansana said that the fuel station has beautified his community. He commended NPSL for the project.

A representative from the drivers’ union, Ismael H. Bangura urged drivers to buy fuel and lubricants at NP fuel station to save the engine of their vehicles. He said that NPSL is the leading company in the country that sells clean fuel.

The NP dealer, Mr Hassan Shaw extended profound gratitude to NP for supporting him.
